Wishard Works Together, a giving program exclusively for Wishard Employees, seeks to recognize those donors who also give their time, energy and knowledge in service to Wishard every day.

Employees may designate their donation among four areas:

• Wishard Initiatives
• Wishard  Hospital
• Wishard Foundation
• Midtown Mental Health Services

The Wishard Initiatives are a series of specific projects, identified by hospital leadership, that enhance the care and services provided to our patients. When employees choose to fund these projects with their donations, they will see the direct impact of their donation.

For 2009, Wishard has identified the Medical Management Medication Co-Pay Assistance Program as the Wishard Initiative. This program helps provide medication to patients who are hospitalized because they could not afford needed prescriptions. These patients have chronic but treatable conditions such as asthma or diabetes, and proper medication can prevent a hospital stay.  All employee donations received through December 31, 2009, that are designated for the Wishard Initiatives will go to support this program.
